Tarn Rigg Cottage is one of two converted barns on a beef and sheep farm a mile from Keswick town centre. The location gives you both things: countryside quiet and easy reach of shops, restaurants and walking routes. The cottage sleeps four across a kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower and a twin bedroom served by a family bathroom with bath and shower.
Downstairs is open plan—kitchen, dining and living areas flow together, with a wood burner for winter evenings (fuel included). The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered, and air source underfloor heating keeps the place warm. You have private parking for two cars and a bike store. The cottage does not permit smoking.
A pub sits within a mile, and Good Soul Sauna is nearby. The setting suits couples and families after a Lake District base without the hotel feel.

Gorgeous place in the world. We've been numerous times and keep going back. It is perfectly situated so you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but just a 20 min walk from Keswick and 10 mins from the nearest pub. The owners are so friendly, the views are stunning and Mary Rook is comfortable and spotlessly clean with all the amenities you would need.

Lovely cottages, cosy and comfortable and superbly equipped and well thought out. Enjoyed lovely walks from the doorstep and a pleasant stroll in to Keswick. Very pretty view from the doorstep 😍
