We visited the Brewers Fayre for dinner, and unfortunately the meal fell short of expectations. I started with the chicken wings, but was disappointed as they arrived on a plain plate with no garnish or presentation at all—just wings placed straight on the dish. It felt like very little thought had gone into it. For my main, I chose the festive turkey dinner, which was another let-down. The roast potatoes and parsnips were overdone and quite hard, while the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. The turkey itself looked more like a couple of slices of sandwich meat rather than a proper carved portion, which really took away from the festive feel of the meal. However, things did improve at the end. The mince pie sundae was absolutely fantastic—easily the highlight of the dinner and full of festive flavour. I also had breakfast there for three mornings in a row, and this was a much better experience. The hash browns were excellent, crisp and perfectly cooked. The bacon was unusual as the pieces were stuck together and didn’t appear to be fried, but despite that it tasted great. Overall, I would definitely recommend the breakfast, even if the dinner was disappointing.

Popped in to use my birthday voucher. I phoned staff to explain and they were accommodating and service was spot on. I ordered the mixed grill and everything was cooked correctly. No faults no complaints.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and chose the hotel because we normally have a very nice breakfast when we stay in Premier Inn's. This was terrible from the moment we walked in. Ended up paying for 3 adults when it should have been 2. Didn't realise at the time ans just paid at the till before we sat down. As we walked past the hot food both my wife ans I noticed the anaemic looking sausages that looked like they they could do with another spell in the oven or under the grill. The skins on the sausages were like rubber, Eggs were like rubber with hard skin. Whilst I was waiting for some toast, 2 staff members (one i think was the manager) were taking. They both came across like they couldn't be bothered and didnt want to be there. If you are in Edinburgh and heading out to the town dont bother eating here. So many amazing places to have breakfast. If your looking for dinner. Head outside and around to the boats in the little harbour. You have some restaurants here that serve amazing food. Don't waste your hard earned money here.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten. I ordered the local fave Smothered Chicken. It was in eatable. Daughter had the pepperoni pizza with hot honey - also marked as a fave on the menu. I tired it and had to spit it out. Husband had bangers and mash which he said was passable as food. Staff were friendly enough but I would highly recommend not eating here.
