About Premier Inn Edinburgh Leith Waterfront

Leith's Newhaven waterfront, with its working marina and views out towards the Firth of Forth, is where Premier Inn Edinburgh Leith Waterfront makes its home. The area has a settled, maritime feel, and the hotel's position right by the harbour means many rooms look straight out over the boats and water.

There are 138 en-suite rooms spread across three floors, all with the usual Premier Inn reliability - clean, comfortable and roomier than you might expect for the price. Facilities include a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast service, a lift, 24-hour reception and accessible rooms, while on-site parking is available for a charge. Guests generally find good value here, though service has been known to be a little inconsistent at busy times.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is within easy reach, and trams and buses run conveniently from the area into central Edinburgh, making this a practical base for exploring the city without paying city-centre prices. Fishing, pubs and restaurants nearby add to the local options, and the waterfront setting itself is worth the trip alone.

Big room, location is nice by the water not too far from town. Price is a bit steep but still lower than Edinburgh Standard and is a bit of a hidden hotel gem in this scenario. Friendly staff too. Checking in and out was easy, and room was clean and comfortable. I would go back again for sure, I just wish it was a bit cheaper but there’s only so much you can do. Thank you to the staff who made my stay amazing still.

Stayed a few nights here first at the ordinary room and then the premier plus. Huge difference and experience but not bad either ways. Loved the meal deal except the dinner did not include children's deals but great options at breakfast where child could eat free. Reasonable timing for meals as well either you eat early or late. Although early might be best because some meals might then be out of order. Experienced a few glitches with some meal orders like burnt burger buns and a still hairy chicken wing. No major complaints.

Stayed there for 4 nights recently. The location of the hotel is very good. The staff were very nice, helpful throughout and upon request provided us with an extra room heater and offered more if needed. For a family room, it was very spacious with two single and one double size bed. Beddings were spotless clean and bathroom was shiny! The onsite parking managed by horizon was bit pricy for us but we were informed about paid parking before so that was okay. Overall, excellent experience. Will definitely recommend and revisit again.

This was our first visit to Edinburgh. We stay in Premier Inns regularly and this is one of the best ones. A warm welcome on arrival, the room was clean and functional. Staff were helpful nothing was too much trouble. Great view of the coastline and easy to access the tram line straight to the airport via the city centre. We didn’t use the pub next door as there’s plenty of places either a short walk or tram ride away.
