The Royal Yacht Britannia was an absolute must-see on our visit! As fans of The Crown series, seeing the yacht in person was a major highlight for us. We were delighted to utilize the handheld information units provided; they were incredibly informative, yet lighthearted and entertaining - we even found ourselves chuckling a few times! We were pleasantly surprised by how many of the rooms were showcased, and we were so pleased to find the entire experience stroller-accessible, which made our visit much easier. We learned a great deal and are truly thankful for this experience. Everything felt very well-organized from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Excellent, fascinating glimpse into Queen Elizabeth's life. The tour is self-guided with headset narration in a broad range of languages. You'll start with an on-shore exhibit about the yacht before boarding. The tour is thorough, visiting not only where the Royal Family lived but also where the crew lived and worked. We stopped at the cafe for refreshments (lemon drizzle cake pictured; we also got Victoria sponge). The food was wonderful; the service was the worst of our 2-week tour of Scotland. I had to get up and ask for the Victoria sponge, and then a second slice of lemon drizzle was served, and then I had to get up again to ask for the check. But it was still an amazing afternoon, and we highly recommend this tour.

One of the top attractions in Edinburgh and an absolute must-visit. The Royal Yacht Britannia is beautifully preserved and feels as if it could set sail again tomorrow. You get to explore almost every part of the ship, including the State Apartments, the Queen's private rooms, and the former Prince of Wales's quarters, all kept much as they were during the yacht's years of service. One of the highlights is the Royal Deck Tea Room on the upper deck. Having a meal or afternoon tea on board a former royal yacht is a unique experience, and it's absolutely worth it. Before leaving, you'll pass through a huge gift shop that's full of high-quality souvenirs. It's the kind of place where it's genuinely difficult to leave empty-handed. Highly recommended.

If you're a student, definitely book your tickets in advance—it's incredibly affordable right now at just over £12! The entire experience is fantastic. The exhibition is exceptionally well-designed and packed with rich, fascinating content. A major highlight for me was the VR experience, which gives you an amazing, immersive look inside the Engine Room—don't skip it! Tip: Try to visit on a clear, sunny day if you can. The views from the deck are absolutely breathtaking. Standing out there in the sunshine, looking out at the distant coastline, is incredibly peaceful and refreshing. Highly recommend catching this while you can! 🚢✨
