We stayed here for one night in a suite room, having been offered a last minute upgrade. Upon arrival, we greeted so warmly by the gentleman on reception. The room was excellent, especially the second bath tub in the living room area. We slept so well. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, everything was so beautifully laid out. The woman serving was very friendly and warm. We had the merguez shaksuka - delicious! This was our first stay in a Malmaison hotel and we were both very impressed, especially by the friendly helpful staff!

Welcoming 😊 nice staff and really cheerful ☺️ the room was big, clean bathroom, looks good for it's age. Beautiful ❤️ close to lots of restaurants & pubs. Definitely a good choice if you're outgoing 😉 really impressed how well preserved it is actually.

Hotel was really nice and clean. Very nice rooms. The ladies working the desk were the best part. Very helpful and friendly. I took a star off for the rooms wifi disconnecting constantly and for no AC. I understand that’s kinda the thing around there but people travel from other countries and expect it. For the price I would have liked a cooler room. I also took a star off because the short guy at the front counter was pretty arrogant the entire visit. It seems like he’s been there a bit too long and is a bit too comfortable, he has obviously forgotten how to talk to and treat his guests properly.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. We had been let down by another hotel in Edinburgh after we paid for a superior room and were allocated a broom closet. We arrived at this hotel in bad spirits but the receptionist (Kite) was so lovely and gracious. We were allocated a beautiful room at a very reasonable rate. The hotel was clean, friendly and comfortable. The tram to the city is literally around the corner and Leith has so many lovely eating options. It is a much better option than the tourist heavy area in the city.
