About St Andrews

Edinburgh Zoo lies within easy reach of St Andrews, making this a handy base for a day spent among its attractions, while Edinburgh Waverley station is around 1.76 miles off for those arriving by train or heading further afield. Pubs, bars and restaurants can be found nearby too, along with entertainment options for evenings out, and golf, fishing and watersports are all within range for guests wanting to get outdoors.

St Andrews itself has 14 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks provided, and offers room service alongside the usual comforts. Free WiFi runs throughout the building, and practicalities are covered with laundry service and luggage storage, useful for anyone breaking up a longer trip around Scotland.

A restaurant on site serves breakfast and meals, saving guests from having to venture out for every meal, though there is no parking available, so those travelling by car should plan accordingly. Set on Jane Street in the City of Edinburgh, it puts guests within reach of the city's sights without the need for a vehicle.

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom and kitchen. The place was clean, some of the cupboards were broken. Take some flip flops to use the shower. The breakfast was included in the price of our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the reception works 24/7 so you can check in any time. The only thing I could complain about were the guests who thought they didn't need to clean their plates after eating so the sink was always full of dirty dishes. However, we enjoyed our 2 night stay a lot.

We booked the whole place for a weekend trip for 42 people and the hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. Imran and his family offered to cook dinner for all of us and at our request sorted some breakfast for us too and allowed us full access to the kitchen facilities so we had freedom to do as we pleased. The rooms and kitchen were all clean and tidy and it looked newly decorated, and the location was perfect for us (being a 30 min walk or short drive from the city centre). We couldn't have asked for a better price either. Thank you for a great stay!

Very nice place to stay. The host, Imran, is very helpful and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. He is by far the most welcoming host I have ever encountered in any accommodation. The rooms and kitchen are spotlessly clean. Check in is easy and the rooms are nice and quiet. Has all the facilities you need and a lovely smoking area. Would definitely stay there again.

Very clean and nice , the hosts are very good that we even got to borrow a charger! No en suite but there was toilets nearby every dorm and there very nice, the reason why we are rating this 3 star is because our sleep was not very good , it was very noisy and quite hot. The windows are very thin and not good for noisy cars driving past lots, u can hear noises upstairs that other people are making very clearly. But very good WiFi and good shower and good location.
