About Travelodge Edinburgh Haymarket
Eglington Crescent sits in a settled residential pocket of Edinburgh, close enough to Haymarket Station to make onward travel simple and within reach of the city centre for those who'd rather walk in than drive. Travelodge Edinburgh Haymarket occupies this quiet street across four floors, offering a straightforward base for exploring the capital without the fuss of a city-centre address.
The 73 rooms are on the generous side for the price bracket, each with an en-suite bathroom and the option of drinks in the room, though maintenance can be patchy and it's worth not expecting polish. A bar and restaurant cover food and drink on site, with breakfast available for those who want an early start, and 24-hour reception means arrival times are flexible. Accessible rooms are available, and pets are welcome, which suits guests travelling with animals in tow.
Parking is limited immediately outside, with chargeable options at a nearby NCP a walk away, and street parking suited mainly to a quick luggage drop rather than a full stay. Nearby, guests can find pubs, restaurants and some entertainment, along with fishing options for those wanting a change of pace from city sightseeing. Staff are generally helpful, and the location near public transport remains the property's strongest card.

What guests say
Good location. Nice historic building, nice rooms. Very quiet if facing the garden. Staff a letdown - generally they don't make you as welcome as staff in other Travelodge locations manage to do (some courtesy phrases like "good morning", "did you have a good day/night", "did you like the drinks" etc. would go a long way - but the barman in particular was very unwelcoming and unapproachable. Only one set of keys per room is very inconvenient especially as you also need them to get through internal doors.

The hotel is located in a lovely quiet area in an old building. The rooms are big and full of light! The price is reasonable for Edinburgh! No more advantages! Absolutely dirty: stains , bread crumbs everywhere!

While staff were friendly, I cannot recommend this hotel as they had hygiene and ventilation issues. The carpets had a strong unpleasant scent and there was little to no air passing through the room. I couldn't sleep there, I had to check out the same day.

Great location. Room was awful, broken door handle and king bed wasn’t fixed properly, light not working and it was very noisy in the room, tv sound didn’t work properly, towels and bedding were dirty, rude staff. I don’t recommend going as its not worth what I paid.
