About The Belmont - B&B
A seasonal outdoor pool sets The Belmont apart from most Shanklin B&Bs, giving this adults-only Victorian property a genuine holiday feel alongside its period character. Set on Queens Road, it offers 12 rooms finished to a smart, contemporary standard, each with drinks provided and the option of a quiet retreat away from the town's busier corners.
Guests have use of a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast each morning, a garden for warmer days, and free WiFi throughout. Practical extras include luggage storage, a laundry service and free on-site parking, while meeting rooms and a wedding venue mean the property can also handle events and small gatherings.
The adults-only policy makes it a calmer choice for couples or those travelling without children, and its Shanklin address puts the Isle of Wight's coastline and attractions within easy reach for day trips.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Belmont Hotel. Everything was exceptional — from the beautifully maintained rooms and spotless cleanliness to the thoughtful little details throughout the hotel. You can genuinely feel the care and attention behind every aspect of the experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere, comfort, and hospitality made our stay feel very special. Thank you to the Linda for creating such a memorable experience. We would happily return again.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous 3 night stay at The Belmont Hotel, staying in Room 15, a luxury double room with a view of the sea. The hotel is perfectly situated on a quiet road, within walking distance of the High Street and Shanklin Chine. The hotel proprietors, Linda and Des are very welcoming, friendly and very thoughtful. The reception area even has a small shop area where a variety of items are available to purchase including swimwear, bags, toiletries etc. The hotel has a very well stocked bar including a vast array of spirits and a separate lounge area with TV. The hotel public areas and in particular our room were spotlessly clean. The breakfast area is spacious and airy with an excellent choice of breakfast items available including a delicious cooked option. Our room (room 15), is very spacious with a huge, comfortable bed, two chairs, small table, dressing table. The wardrobe had an ample supply of hangers, plus a unit with plentiful drawer space. The room also had a TV, safe, iron and ironing board, bathrobes and tea/coffee facilities. Free on-site car parking is available as is an outdoor heated pool. I would have no hesitation in staying at The Belmont Hotel, Shanklin if I returned to the Isle of Wight.

Excellent Stay at The Belmont – highly Recommend! I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The breakfast by Linda was absolutely delicious, definitely a highlight of my stay. The service was outstanding, the location was perfect, and the room was spotlessly clean and wonderfully quiet. Honestly, everything was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I chose this hotel expecting a comfortable stay but was left extremely disappointed. The condition of the room was below expectations, cleanliness standards were questionable, and there were ongoing issues that should have been dealt with promptly. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of support from management. ( hotel management , consider replacing the lady manager ) Multiple concerns were raised, yet little effort was made to help or provide solutions. Guests deserve to be treated with respect and have their concerns taken seriously. Based on my experience, I would look elsewhere before booking here.
