A really great experience from start to finish Paul and Vicki the owners are so welcoming and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. I found this lovely hotel on line and so glad my partner and I decided on the Havelock. The rooms are very comptable and clean and decorated to a high standard , the breakfast are very nice with a great menu with a lot of choice , there is a kettle in the room with lovely biscuts and a nice choice of hot drinks. There is a lovely swimming pool at the back which is so relaxing and a lovely bar with large tv for those who like a relaxing evening. The Havelock is in a brilliant location close to the beach and close to old Shanklin village with a great choice of restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel that has something for everyone.

I stayed here for 9 nights in early July 2026. The hosts are very welcoming and can't do enough for their guests. There is plenty of on site parking which is great. I stayed in a room at the front which had amazing views over the garden and the sea. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. There was a good selection of choices for breakfast. There is also a small outdoor heated swimming pool at the back of the hotel for which they provide guest towels. The hotel has a first and second floor, so if you find stairs difficult its worth asking for a lower floor. There is also a well stocked bar in the lounge which stayed open until after 11pm. Bar prices are similar to those in local pubs. The location is brilliant, just a short 5 minute walk from Old Shanklin Village and Shanklin Chine. The beach is less than a ten minute walk downhill all the way which brings you out at the very southern end of the beach at Shanklin. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. This hotel is value for money and I willingly recommend it. I'd also like to stay here again in the future.

Chose the Havelock because of it's location, the swimming pool and excellent reviews. And what a perfect choice it was. Immaculate standards, great breakfast and lovely pool. Friendly and attentive owners, and hotel seems to attract nice customers, which also makes the cosy and comfortable bar an enjoyable experience in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the Havelock in May 2026, what a fantastic hotel. Hotel was immaculately clean; food, service and surroundings were great too. Would highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Shanklin to stay at the Havelock. Definitely recommend to friends and would happily stay again.
