Westmorland and Furness
This five-bedroom house occupies a substantial Grade II listed building designed by Augustus Pugin in the 19th century. Westmorland and Furness countryside surrounds the property, which was originally built as a holiday residence for railway executives and retains period character throughout its layout and decoration. The whole place is yours alone, accommodating up to 16 guests across bedrooms ranging from single to kingsize configurations, each with its own television.
The ground floor centres on a living room with an open fire, separate dining room with sound system, and a kitchen equipped with an Aga, American fridge freezer, dishwasher and breakfast area. A cinema room on the lower ground floor has a 75-inch smart TV. Across the upper floors, you'll find four bathrooms and showers to serve the five bedrooms. Outside, the enclosed rear garden features a large slate patio where an eight-person hot tub sits in its own building—a focal point for evening relaxation. Parking accommodates five cars, and an electric charging point is available. The essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered, along with Wi-Fi throughout. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking indoors.
