🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Kingfisher Meadow

Westmorland and Furness

Kingfisher Meadow is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four, set within an estate of woodland near Skelwith Bridge. You arrive at a self-contained property on one level, with step access to the entrance. The layout centres on a double bedroom with views across the patio and built-in storage, and a smaller bunk room that works well for children. A single bathroom with shower, basin and WC serves both.

Inside, the cottage is warm and practical—the kind of place designed for people to actually relax after time outdoors. Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are provided. The hot tub is a genuine draw, especially after a day walking the woodland paths that start from the property itself. A pub lies within a five-minute walk, along with a tea room and bakery.

The estate also has a swimming pool and sauna available to guests, plus table tennis. This suits families or couples wanting to be near the Lake District fells without heavy exertion required—though the step access at the entrance means it's not ideal if stairs are a real difficulty. No smoking inside.
