Lendal Tower is a fully equipped three-bedroom, three-bathroom house sleeping six in the heart of York's medieval quarter, steps from the City Walls. The property occupies a 14th-century defensive tower that has been renovated to preserve original details—wood panelling and a spiral staircase—while providing modern comforts throughout. You have the entire place to yourself, with wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels all included.
The ground floor contains a living room with television, dining room opening to a garden, and a kitchen fitted with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, wine cooler, washing machine and fridge-freezer. The first floor has two bedrooms—one double, one kingsize—with a shower room. The top floor offers a four-poster kingsize bedroom with an ensuite featuring a roll-top bath. There is a lawned garden with furniture, a roof terrace with views across York and the River Ouse, on-site parking for two cars, and an electric vehicle charging point. A travel cot and highchair are available. No smoking is permitted.
The location puts you within walking distance of the Treasurer's House, Merchant Adventurer's Hall, and the National Railway Museum. Families will find schools and attractions nearby; history enthusiasts have centuries of the city to explore without leaving the immediate area.

Fantastic place to stay, we had a great week, helped by the weather. Nathan gave us a very warm welcome and a helpful tour of the tower. It’s right in the middle of the city so we didn’t use the car all week. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

If I could give more stars for this amazing place I would! Fantastic location and bonus garage parking. The whole place was stunning inside and out! Comfortable, cosy and inviting. Bedrooms were just gorgeous and all our family agreed the beds were so comfortable. Nothing could've made our stay any better (apart from the weather) This stay was such a memorable stay we will never forget! Pity we couldn't stay longer

We had an amazing stay at the Lendal Tower! We stayed back in November 2023. It was a perfect location. Close to shops and restaurants! The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Only suggestion I would make is to consider that there are only stairs available to get to the bedrooms. The lift is not in working order, so if anyone has difficulty with stairs then they definitely want to consider the amount of stairs that will need to be climbed with luggage especially. The Lendal tower has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need to make meals , a definite plus! Wonderful Tea rooms close by and very close to the Minster. We had such a wonderful time here and already booked for another stay next year! Can't wait!
