It's a practical choice for visitors who want comfortable basics and a convenient spot to park while they get on with seeing York.

We spent 2 nights here. Clean room, comfy beds with 2 pillows, lovely breakfast, friendly staff. Parking is a little tight on spacing but is free and off the road, which is a bonus. Even though there is a busy road outside, traffic noise is minimal. Shower is compact but water is hot. Towels provided. There is a fridge in the room which would be ideal when the weather is warmer. About 10/15 minutes walk from town. Good price. We would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.

I stayed here winter 2025, if I had not prepaid I would have walked out and stayed somewhere else. Entire building stunk like grease which was sickening. Shower was dirty, temperature kept jumping to burning, the shower caddy scratched me when I brushed past it as it was damaged. They are cheap, why not replace it ? Bed was not comfy & most annoying thing was the constant noise. Could constantly hear sirens & traffic, needs better noise proofing. & early in the mornings people were noisy in the building. Was very tiring as I was there for work. I saw a couple of black bugs in the room… disgusting. Can’t comment on breakfast as I left early. I emailed them voicing my concerns and they didn’t take any accountability. Pricing was not even that cheap when I booked. Not good.

Bit of a walk into town but not too far. Lots of steep stairs so only stay if you're comfortable with that. Clean, basic rooms and a great breakfast, and very convenient for a few days exploring York.
