We advised that we would be arriving about 7pm we were told to call the number on the door when we arrived . I had to call at least 10 times then eventually got a text saying text me . Then waited 10 mins and still had no answer so called again . And got an answer the lady was rude when I said I had been calling and said I've got more than one property to deal with. When i used to shower it fell on top of me and hit my head . And the power of the shower wasn't good. There was black marks on the carpet at the fridge which looked like mold. The location was good especially for the price that I got it for . I was also asked for a refundable deposit which I still haven't received. They said there was parking but it was all permit required which we asked and were basically told if you can find one then call me back and we will sort it . We were there for 3 days and we never seen one member of staff the whole time . The front garden was a bit overgrown

Everything went very well, the staff was very lovely and welcoming, we had 2 on suites for 5 of us , we use a keycard to get in main door and our room , they let us use the kitchen to heat stuff up , they offered us room service , if we wanted it we just put a note on door or ring them . We did have a weird smell in room but the staff was very understanding and said they have done a lot of cleaning and is aware of it but they don’t know what it was so they couldn’t do much but that only bothered us at first but was forgotten eventually, there was a bit of confusion with payments but it seemed to be our side was the problem but it was finished with a refund and everything was all good . This guest house has many leaflets inside the house soon as you walk in , giving you ideas what to do on days out with family , the hotel place is very handy , it is outside of a hospital which can get a bit noisy but not dramatically bad just the occasional ambulance siren but the place is right outside a bus top and only 15mins away from train station and 5 mins from city centre. The room had a 2 double beds , bathroom , and a desk and a fan which was very handy . I would highly recommend this place to people with families and anyone , it was very handy and ideal and it was a worthy stay for a week! Would stay again 💯💯💯

The mattress was sagging, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. The radiator was turned off, so the room was cold. There was a small electric heater in the room, but it wasn’t enough to heat it properly. There was no one at the reception, and I only received a call back after one hour. Improving these issues would significantly increase the comfort of the stay.

I stayed for one day and everything was lovely! We had to call someone to get in because we arrived late and the lady on the phone was extremely patient with us. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was very confortable and the shower worked perfectly. Overall a nice place to stay since it's close to most York attractions, definitely would consider coming back in the future!
