Rhydlanfair Cottage stands on a working farm within Eryri National Park, four miles from Betws-y-Coed. The converted stone building retains original character while offering modern comfort for two people. You have the whole property to yourself, with a private patio and parking on site. A 100-acre farm trail crosses the surrounding land, shared with the owners—good for exploring the landscape without leaving the property.

The cottage has one bedroom with a kingsize bed and a bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, a living and dining room contains a wood-burning stove, Freeview television, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Biomass heating covers winter comfort; initial fuel for the stove is provided. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A utility room with washing machine is available for laundry, and there is a bike store on the property.

The nearby leisure centre in Betws-y-Coed offers a pool, sauna, steam room and gym. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The cottage does not permit smoking.

It is hard to gain a good reputation and much harder to keep it. What a wonderful place and hosts. We wished for snow, real fire and real Christmas tree and all of our wishes happened. The cottage itself is to die for (figure of speech), it had everything we needed and especially A TEAPOT! We got acquainted with the host's family, working dogs and pet dog Billy. We completed the farm trail 3 times, many more activities nearby, especially if you are into mountain biking, this is the place to be at. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Xmas stay! Warm, spacious, and in a great location! We booked our stay with cottages.com and we are very happy with our decision... We just got back from our week-long Christmas holiday and we absolutely loved it. The hosts were so friendly and welcomed us with a smile upon our arrival. They even showed our little one around the farm on one of the sunny mornings, which he really enjoyed. He got very excited to meet and feed the animals: horses, donkeys, and sheep. The property itself feels very homely and well-maintained; it looks like it was renovated recently. It is extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. The bedding and towels smelled really fresh, which shows the level of care the owners put into the property. The kitchen and dining area are very spacious and fully equipped. We had everything we needed for our week’s stay; the washing machine and dishwasher were a huge plus for us. A big bonus was the heating system. Needless to say, it’s freezing in North Wales at Christmas, but the heating made the house warm in about 10 minutes. The most important thing is the location, location, location! You are only a 7-minute drive from Betws-y-Coed, so you're close to all the main walks, grocery shops, cafes, and restaurants (you have to try the pizza restaurant!). The cottage is just a few meters off the A5, so it was extremely quiet and relaxing also mainly because we could hear slightly the sound of the water stream few metres down the cottage. They really made it special for us by putting up a lovely real Christmas tree with lights. Our little one also found loads of toys to play with in the basement. We highly recommend booking this cottage if you’re heading to North Wales. You won't be disappointed! Oh, and I totally forgot: the cottage has a yearly membership with daily access to the local spa in Betws-y-Coed, so as guests, we enjoyed free daily access. The spa was really lovely and clean with very friendly staff and plenty of free parking. Our little one enjoyed the swimming pool and we enjoyed the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. You can't go wrong booking this property.

Stunning surroundings, gorgeous, immaculately clean cottage; complete privacy yet felt secure; fantastic space on the farm trails; peaceful location with no sounds of traffic, situated close to lots of things to do; easy to book, great in-cottage facilities - I can't rate Rhydlanfair highly enough
