Stirling

Four miles from Stirling city centre but set deep in rural countryside, Buzzard Cottage overlooks a private loch framed by 300-foot cliffs. The property sits within Osprey Hideaways, a small collection of individually named cottages where the owners live on site. Ground-floor layout means everything is on one level: an open-plan living space with French doors to a dining area, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, one bedroom with a king bed and ensuite shower, and a second with two single beds served by a separate bathroom with bath and shower.
Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. There's private parking for two cars and a garden with seating. An honesty room stocked with books, DVDs and games is available to guests, and a welcome pack arrives on check-in. The loch is where ospreys can be spotted feeding during the season; the setting is peaceful year-round yet only five miles from the motorway for those who need quick access elsewhere. No smoking in the property. Children are accommodated, and a travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request.

Lovely location, very quiet, feels away from everything but good access into Stirling. Wildlife all around us . Friendly owners, very welcoming. Holiday cottages are very nicely furnished. Excellent location if you want to get away from it all

My husband and I stayed here as part of a nine-day vacation in Scotland, and we wished we had made it the only place we stayed. The hosts are so fantastic, we could have spent hours and hours visiting with them. The cottages are surrounded by farmland and so you may wake one morning to find some sheep grazing outside the door with a pair of lambs, and the next day perhaps the cows might walk by with their calves. It's really a beautiful, special place to get to visit.

Fabulous week, we stayed in Kestrel the views are fantastic and the cottage was clean and very well equipped. We had a very generous welcome pack on our arrival and wanted for nothing during our stay. George was so friendly and helpful. Great area with plenty to do and explore. Thanks George for a lovely week 😀

Lovely location with great views of the resevoir/loch. Some of the cottages look tired and shabby from the outside (not a great first impression) looks as though work has started to fix the facias ect. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean, under beds and furniture also skirting in bedroom as there was alot of dust. The microwave and kitchen cupboards had lots of sticky fingerprints from previous guests. The welcome pack was very generous.
