Kestrel Cottage comes with everything needed for independent holidays. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, a bedroom with a kingsize bed opens onto a Juliet balcony. Downstairs, the living and dining room has a Freeview TV, Blu-ray player and CD player, while the shower room is equipped with a cubicle shower. Electricity, gas central heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site, and a welcome pack with bubbly arrives with you.

The cottage sits within Osprey Hideaways, a small collection of properties in rural Stirling, four miles from the city centre. The setting overlooks a 120-acre loch where ospreys feed in season, with 300-foot cliffs framing the far bank. The owners live on site and maintain an honesty room stocked with books, DVDs, games and toys for guests to borrow. A shared garden with courtyard and bike store are available to all visitors. The location gives quick access to Stirling's amenities and the motorway for journeys to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow, while Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park lies twenty miles away. No smoking is permitted in the cottage.

Lovely location, very quiet, feels away from everything but good access into Stirling. Wildlife all around us . Friendly owners, very welcoming. Holiday cottages are very nicely furnished. Excellent location if you want to get away from it all

My husband and I stayed here as part of a nine-day vacation in Scotland, and we wished we had made it the only place we stayed. The hosts are so fantastic, we could have spent hours and hours visiting with them. The cottages are surrounded by farmland and so you may wake one morning to find some sheep grazing outside the door with a pair of lambs, and the next day perhaps the cows might walk by with their calves. It's really a beautiful, special place to get to visit.

Fabulous week, we stayed in Kestrel the views are fantastic and the cottage was clean and very well equipped. We had a very generous welcome pack on our arrival and wanted for nothing during our stay. George was so friendly and helpful. Great area with plenty to do and explore. Thanks George for a lovely week 😀

Lovely location with great views of the resevoir/loch. Some of the cottages look tired and shabby from the outside (not a great first impression) looks as though work has started to fix the facias ect. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean, under beds and furniture also skirting in bedroom as there was alot of dust. The microwave and kitchen cupboards had lots of sticky fingerprints from previous guests. The welcome pack was very generous.
