Four miles from Stirling city centre, Osprey Cottage sits in countryside that opens onto water. The loch stretches across 120 acres, edged by 300ft cliffs, and ospreys hunt here regularly during their season. The setting feels genuinely remote despite the proximity to the historic city and main road access to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow.
The cottage is a single storey with living, dining and kitchen areas in one open space, plus a bedroom with a kingsize bed and a bathroom with both bath and separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, from oven and hob through to dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. There is private parking for one car on site and a garden with sitting-out furniture, though some garden space is shared with other cottages here.
Osprey Cottage suits couples or two people looking for countryside peace within reach of city amenities. The owners live on-site and provide a welcome pack including books, DVDs, games and visitor information available to borrow. No smoking throughout.

Lovely location, very quiet, feels away from everything but good access into Stirling. Wildlife all around us . Friendly owners, very welcoming. Holiday cottages are very nicely furnished. Excellent location if you want to get away from it all

My husband and I stayed here as part of a nine-day vacation in Scotland, and we wished we had made it the only place we stayed. The hosts are so fantastic, we could have spent hours and hours visiting with them. The cottages are surrounded by farmland and so you may wake one morning to find some sheep grazing outside the door with a pair of lambs, and the next day perhaps the cows might walk by with their calves. It's really a beautiful, special place to get to visit.

Fabulous week, we stayed in Kestrel the views are fantastic and the cottage was clean and very well equipped. We had a very generous welcome pack on our arrival and wanted for nothing during our stay. George was so friendly and helpful. Great area with plenty to do and explore. Thanks George for a lovely week 😀

Lovely location with great views of the resevoir/loch. Some of the cottages look tired and shabby from the outside (not a great first impression) looks as though work has started to fix the facias ect. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean, under beds and furniture also skirting in bedroom as there was alot of dust. The microwave and kitchen cupboards had lots of sticky fingerprints from previous guests. The welcome pack was very generous.
