Osprey Hideaways - Peregrine Cottage
Stirling

Peregrine Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage with one bathroom, sleeping four guests. The building takes its name from the birds regularly spotted overhead at Osprey Hideaways, a small collection of properties set on a 120-acre private loch four miles from Stirling city centre. High cliffs frame the far side of the water, and during osprey season the birds can often be seen fishing on most days.
The ground floor is open-plan, combining living, dining and kitchen areas with a television, Blu-ray and DVD player, and all the essentials for self-catering: electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The first floor holds a king-size bedroom and a room with two single beds, served by a bathroom with a bath and shower. Parking for two cars is on site. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are included. The cottage has its own sitting area with garden furniture and access to a large shared garden and courtyard; there is also a bike store.
The location works for those wanting peace and countryside quiet without isolation—Stirling's historic attractions and facilities are just four miles away, and the motorway junction is five miles north for connections to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow. No smoking is permitted in the property.

Lovely location, very quiet, feels away from everything but good access into Stirling. Wildlife all around us . Friendly owners, very welcoming. Holiday cottages are very nicely furnished. Excellent location if you want to get away from it all

My husband and I stayed here as part of a nine-day vacation in Scotland, and we wished we had made it the only place we stayed. The hosts are so fantastic, we could have spent hours and hours visiting with them. The cottages are surrounded by farmland and so you may wake one morning to find some sheep grazing outside the door with a pair of lambs, and the next day perhaps the cows might walk by with their calves. It's really a beautiful, special place to get to visit.

Fabulous week, we stayed in Kestrel the views are fantastic and the cottage was clean and very well equipped. We had a very generous welcome pack on our arrival and wanted for nothing during our stay. George was so friendly and helpful. Great area with plenty to do and explore. Thanks George for a lovely week 😀

Lovely location with great views of the resevoir/loch. Some of the cottages look tired and shabby from the outside (not a great first impression) looks as though work has started to fix the facias ect. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean, under beds and furniture also skirting in bedroom as there was alot of dust. The microwave and kitchen cupboards had lots of sticky fingerprints from previous guests. The welcome pack was very generous.
