About Bang in Wells

Wells-next-the-Sea's harbour is just a short stroll from Bang in Wells, and the beach and Norfolk's coastal paths are easily reached on foot too, making this a handy base for exploring the town's fishing quays, walking trails, and the wider stretch of natural coastline the area is known for. Fishing spots and local pubs sit nearby, so there's plenty to fill the days beyond the room itself.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and free WiFi, with family rooms on offer for those travelling with children, and pets are welcome too. A garden gives extra space to sit outside, and 24 hour reception and luggage storage add a bit of flexibility for early arrivals or late departures.

The on-site restaurant and bar are a genuine draw, with a full English breakfast, crab sandwiches, and curry dishes among the regularly praised dishes, served by staff who keep the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Parking is available at the property, and further restaurants and entertainment can be found close by on Staithe Street and around the town centre.

Came for a meal out, beautiful little gem of a bistro, love the gentleness & comfy atmosphere, the staff is kind and caring and the food was delicious 😋 My husband had a Hungarian goulash, the beef was delicious & tender, Mrs Graham had the chicken curry which was yum too. Thank you to the chef and the staff for making our lunch special as always when we come. We love ❤️ this little treasure. Highly recommend

A great place to stay in Wells-next-the-Sea. We loved the location, the staff are great and the food brilliant. It is dog-friendly throughout, but our room was scrupulously clean, so you wouldn't know there had ever been a dog in our room. Just to warn people, as it is not obvious, the Hayloft room for 2 is indeed a loft so be prepared for sloping ceiling on both sides, limiting the available space. Lastly, the owners ought to change the arrival information as you can no longer park and unload outside the blue gates, even though we were told to (in the arrival email and documentation in the room).

With a full busy, busy restaurant like everyone else, a wonderful meal and super service...don't hesitate, fo enjoy. I'm no foodie but, when it's so good, it's just so good. Oh, welcomed well behaved pups and of course, the kiddies too.

A nice restuarant with a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only open Thurs, Fri and Sat for evening meals but lunchtimes during the rest of the week. Recommended as a place to eat. After a lovely starter unfortunately our main course was a disappointment and barely edible. Obviously we can't comment on other menu choices. The restuarant is not cheap and based on our experience not good value for money.
