What visitors say
Lovely place and well worth a visit. The house is beautiful inside and a very well kept gothic exterior. The family still live in part of the house so there are guided tours only, the guides are interesting and knowledgeable. There is a watchtower you can climb, with great views. And a very interesting small exhibition center, with lots of information about the various concerts and shows that were on in Knebworth in the past, acts including the Rolling Stones, Queen, Oasis etc. The grounds are very nice, beautiful gardens, a maze and a dinosaur trail not just for kids!. There is also an adventure playground. There are some amazing wood carvings dotted about the grounds. There is a cafe and a gift shop on site. There is also a church, but we were told it is generally only open at the weekends. There are also plenty of toilet facilities including baby change and disabled facilities. I found the place very relaxing.

Fantastic historic house just off the A1 in Hertfordshire. Beautifully preserved, well laid out rooms. The room guides are very knowledgeable and each room has history boards explaining various features. Ample parking close to the house. Many areas to picnic under the beautiful ancient oaks. Well stocked shop and restaurant. We visited on Father's day and there were different events throughout the day - the highlight being the Medieval jousting. The gardens are stunning with many different areas including a Maze and veg/herb garden. There is also a fantastic dinosaur forest with life sized dinosaur models which is popular with young and old alike. All in all it is a wonderful place to visit, so much to see, we didn't even get to the amazing castle playground. A visit for another day. 🤩
