Roundhill Cottages 1

You arrive at Roundhill Cottages 1 to find a traditional slate building just outside Grasmere village, four steps leading up to the entrance. Inside, the ground floor spreads between a living room with an open fire and a kitchen-dining space equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher and washing machine all there. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double, a single, and a bunk room—sharing one bathroom with a roll-top bath and shower. The cottage sleeps five and belongs entirely to you for the duration of your stay.

The appeal here is the location. From the doorstep, walks begin immediately: Helm Crag and the Fairfield Horseshoe are accessible directly, and Grasmere village itself is under a mile away on foot. The village has its literary heritage, the Wordsworth Museum, a lake to walk around, and the established draw of Grasmere Gingerbread. A pub and shops lie half a mile off. Electricity, Wi-Fi and towels are included. One car can park on site. The cottage does not permit smoking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
