Miles of forest paths and mountain bike trails start from Y Llaethdy's garden, making it a natural base for anyone planning serious time outdoors. Betws-y-Coed, three miles away, has outdoor shops and cafés; Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) takes 25 minutes to reach by car. Within 30 miles are Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens, seven other castles, narrow-gauge railways and industrial museums. The beach is 21 miles away. A pub serving food sits one mile down the road.

The cottage is a single-storey property sleeping four across two bedrooms: one double and two singles. Everything happens on the ground floor, with the living space open-plan around a wood-burning stove, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a shower room. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Outside there is a patio with garden furniture, a barbecue, and parking for two cars; an electric charging point is available.
