Crofts Cottages - Marwhin Cottage

Marwhin Cottage sits within the Crofts Estate, a 3000-acre property that gives you direct access to those woods and trails without leaving the grounds. The cottage is detached, set in its own gardens with a stream and pond, and far enough from the other estate buildings that you have proper privacy.

Inside, everything is on the ground floor: a living room with an open fire and doors to the garden, a kitchen with a dishwasher and full cooking equipment, a utility room with a washer-dryer, and two bedrooms (one super king, one twin) served by a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included, as is the initial fuel for the fire. The cottage takes four people and one pet.

Dumfries town centre, with its shops, restaurants and museums, is 12 miles away. Castle Douglas and its food specialists are 8 miles. Threave Gardens, the Galloway Kite Trail and several golf courses are all within reach. A village shop and pub sit about 4 miles down the road. The property is non-smoking.
